Indoor Heated Pools . Proven Curriculum . Over 30000 Students

Learning to swim is not just about learning a new skill, it’s about planting the seeds of confidence and safety in water for a lifetime

Young children learn to swim better in a happy environment, that is why they should come to Happy Fish. Introducing swimming to your young children helps them to prepare for proper swimming and leads them to healthy lifestyle! More importantly, it can help save lives. We are aware of their needs as well as their attention span. Having classes with a shorter duration can improve their focus and develop a willing to learn attitude. Furthermore, a smaller class size would ensure that equal attention is given to each of them.

Development

It’s ideal to cultivate a positive attitude when young. By providing your child with swimming lessons, it can teach them to lead a healthy lifestyle. This is important as kids tend to pick things up when they are young. By teaching them to lead a healthy lifestyle from young, it helps to develop a positive character in the future.

Child’s Experience

Our toddler aquatic specialists are committed to ensure a comfortable learning experience for you and your child. We have specially designed our syllabus in a step by step manner to cater to young children’s ability. For parents who prefer a more personal class, they have the option of choosing a private lesson. This gives your child full attention for 30 minutes. On the other hand, for parents who prefer their child to share the joy and experience with other toddlers, the group lessons awaits them!

FAQ for Toddler Class

My toddler is 2 years old and has never taken swimming lessons. Is it too late to start?

It is never too late! While we encourage starting at 4 months, toddlerhood is an incredibly important time to introduce water safety. Toddlers are naturally curious and mobile, making water awareness critical. We focus on building resilience and character from day one, ensuring they develop lifelong water confidence regardless of when they begin their journey.

My toddler has developed a sudden fear of water and hates getting their face wet. How do you handle this?

Toddlers often develop a sudden fear of water due to sensory overload or a past negative experience. We handle this through our strict philosophy of Child-Led Progression. We never force a child to submerge or perform a skill they are not ready for. Instead, we lead with compassion, moving entirely at your toddler's pace. We focus on play and emotional security first, completely removing the pressure so the fear naturally melts away.

Toddlers have very short attention spans. How do you keep them engaged in the pool?

This is where our creative curriculum shines. We do not run repetitive, rigid drills. Instead, we use a gamified storybook journey and a treasure box system that turns every swim lesson into an epic underwater adventure. By framing water skills as fun "missions" to complete alongside colorful characters, we capture their imagination and keep them highly engaged for the entire lesson.

Do I still need to be in the water with my toddler during the lesson?

Yes! Toddlers thrive when they feel secure, and there is no better safety net than a parent. Our mission is to empower you to teach. Our coaches will guide you on how to support your active toddler, turning you into their best swim buddy. It also guarantees you 30 minutes of completely unplugged bonding time, away from screens and distractions, to celebrate their weekly milestones together.

Do you offer replacement lessons if I can't make it for my scheduled classes.

We've got you covered!

  • 1-for-1 Replacement: You will receive one complimentary replacement for every regular class missed.

  • Notice Period: Simply go to the Parent Portal to request a reschedule at least 2 hours in advance.

  • Booking Window: Please arrange your replacement lesson within 15 days of the missed class.

  • Admin Fee: Once a replacement is confirmed, any further changes to that booking will incur a $15 admin fee to support smooth scheduling.

What practical survival skills will my toddler actually learn?

Beyond just having fun, your toddler is learning critical boundaries and safety mechanics. We teach them safe entry and exit strategies (like how to hold onto the wall and climb out), breath control, and independent buoyancy. These foundational skills ensure that if they ever accidentally fall into a body of water, they have the muscle memory and courage to react safely rather than panic.

My toddler gets cold easily and complains about shivering. Will they be comfortable?

Absolutely. We provide Singapore’s warmest welcome to the water. All of our purpose-built indoor pools are strictly climate-controlled and heated to a perfect 32°C year-round. This guarantees zero shivering, meaning your toddler won't be distracted by the cold and can focus entirely on playing and learning.

My child has eczema and is prone to flare-ups. Is the pool water safe for their skin?

Yes. We understand that toddler skin can be highly sensitive. Our water goes through an advanced filtration process to ensure it is completely pristine, eczema-friendly, and tear-free. It is specifically designed to be gentle so your child can swim comfortably without the irritation often caused by standard public pools.

My child is toilet trained. Why does he have to wear a swim diaper?

While your child may be toilet trained, accidents can still happen in the water, especially when engaging in physical activity. Swim diapers provide extra protection and help maintain a clean and hygienic pool environment for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

How will I know if my toddler is actually making progress?

Because we use a gamified curriculum, progress is highly visible and celebrated. Your toddler will earn milestone stickers as they complete their storybook missions, giving them a tangible sense of achievement. Furthermore, we provide complimentary underwater milestone videos to capture their growing courage and skill, allowing you to clearly see their progression and share their epic underwater moments with family.

Navigating the toddler years is an incredible adventure, full of boundless energy, emerging independence, and, of course, big feelings! If you are thinking about channeling some of that energy into the pool, welcome to Happy Fish.

We know that teaching a toddler can sometimes feel like a negotiation. At Happy Fish, our indoor heated pools are designed to be much more than a place to splash—they are a specialized environment built to nurture your toddler’s developing brain, channel their willpower, and build emotional resilience.

Here is a look at the Happy Todds Philosophy, the neuroscience of toddler play, and how your partnership in the water is the absolute key to unlocking their confidence.

Did You Know? The Neuroscience of Toddler Swim Time

Your toddler’s brain is currently making over a million neural connections every single second. Swimming does more than just tire them out for naptime; it fundamentally shapes how they process the world:

Wiring for Resilience: Toddlers are naturally cautious of new boundaries. Navigating the gentle resistance, buoyancy, and sensory input of water helps build their “executive function”—the mental skills they need to focus, adapt, and overcome physical hurdles.

The Magic of “Co-Regulation”: Toddlers have massive emotions but lack the tools to process them. They use your nervous system as an anchor. When you are in the water together, your calm heartbeat, relaxed shoulders, and joyful voice become the emotional blueprint they use to process a new and potentially overwhelming environment.

Fear Blocks Brainpower: We know that toddlers can be stubborn, but when a child is genuinely afraid or pushed too hard, their brain enters “survival mode,” shutting down their ability to learn. That is exactly why we never force skills.

The Happy Todds Philosophy: Child-Led Progression

At Happy Fish, we prioritize your toddler’s emotional security over immediate skill acquisition. Toddlers learn best through play and autonomy, which is why we let them take the wheel.

We Respect Their Pace (and Their “No”): We use a 100% child-led approach. We invite them to try new skills rather than forcing them, ensuring they feel completely safe, respected, and comfortable in their bodies.

No Forced Submersions: We will never force a fearful or protesting toddler underwater. The pool must always remain a safe haven for discovery and fun.

The “Safe Zone” Reset: Toddler meltdowns happen! If your little one gets overwhelmed or frustrated, we don’t immediately hop out of the water and give up. Instead, we guide you to our shallow “safe zone” on the pool steps. We use toys, songs, and play to reset their nervous system until they feel secure enough to try again.

Why We Need YOU as Our Co-Coach

Our mission is to empower parents to teach. Toddlers might want to “do it myself,” but they absolutely need you as their active co-coach. Your participation is the most vital part of our curriculum!

Model the Joy: Your toddler watches your every move. If they see you relaxed, smiling, and laughing in the water, they instantly download that energy and realize there is nothing to fear.

Calm Through the Chaos: If they get fussy or refuse to participate, your superpower is your composure. Taking a deep breath, keeping a smile on your face, and using a soothing voice teaches them emotional regulation in real-time.

The Power of Showing Up: Toddlers thrive on routine. Even if they have an “off” day where all they want to do is sit on the steps and play with a watering can, keeping the routine and showing up teaches them persistence.

By jumping in and partnering with us, you are showing your toddler how to approach the unknown with curiosity instead of anxiety. We would love to help you build that lifelong emotional foundation—and have a blast doing it. We can’t wait to see you and your toddler in the pool!
